Oral history interview with Diane Patrick, 2002 [audiorecording].

Dr. Patrick is a lithe redhead with grown children and an aura of confidence that comes from a successful life. The interview was conducted in Dr. Patrick's home in Arlington. The first section of the interview is not included, but before the tape started, she had discussed the challenges of the Arlington School Board in the 1980s. These challenges were predominately rapid growth and trying to meet the needs of an expanding community. She discussed House Bill 72. The emphasis during this time in education was on teacher to student ratios, improved pay for teachers, and accountability.
